WR. Oklahoma State. James Washington. 16. player. 123.

The 2017 season has not been kind to the Dallas Cowboys. The suspension, then non-suspension, then suspension of starting running back Ezekiel Elliot was just one piece of a bumpy year. Starting left tackle Tyron Smith has missed time with injuries and quarterback Dak Prescott has come hurtling back to earth after an unbelievably great rookie campaign.

A Thanksgiving loss to the San Diego Chargers has turned the pressure up on head coach Jason Garrett. His future in Dallas is uncertain. If he does get another year he’s going to need to fix this offense.

After Dez Bryant and an aging Jason Witten the Cowboys don’t have anyone reliable pass catchers. Terrence Williams and Cole Beasley aren’t every down players. They’ve never played that role yet and they’ve been unable to seize a bigger workshare over the past two season. If the Cowboys are going to beef up their receiving corps it will have to be through the draft and free agency.

James Washington is the best receiver in one of the best offenses in the country. He torched the Kansas defense over the weekend, tallying 106 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions.
