1. Oklahoma Sooners

The only drama for Oklahoma was wondering how long would their Heisman front-running quarterback have to sit before entering the game against West Virginia. After he cried, got stripped of his captain’s role and lost his starting job in his final regular season home game, everybody knew Baker Mayfield would make an impact during their Week 13 battle.

Oklahoma dominated the game from opening kickoff taking a 45-10 lead into the half, so if you think the game was close, don’t let the final score fool you. The committee would have liked to see the Sooners’ defense to a better job against the run as West Virginia ran for 250 yards on 51 carries and four touchdowns, but they can’t have everything.

The Mayfield and Rodney Anderson connection struck again. Mayfield went 14-for-17 passing for 281 yards and three touchdowns and Anderson had 13 carries for 118 yards and four touchdowns. One word for both of these young men: ballers.

Win next week and they are in, but can they dominate TCU the way they just did a few weeks ago or will Gary Patterson and crew have his guys ready? I can’t lie, I’m banking on Oklahoma to pull through — I did say they had over a 50 percent chance over a month ago.
