Amid plenty of speculation and rumors running rampant, it seems as if Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher could leave for Texas A&M after all.

I’ll admit it, I was hesitant to believe any Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M rumors. He seemed to be a lock to remain with Florida State despite a rough season with the Seminoles in 2017 and he had won a national title just four years ago.

Just four years ago, he was hoisting a national title trophy with Jameis Winston and the rest of the Seminoles and now it seems like his relationship with the Florida State athletic department has deteriorated.

And then there’s this tweet:

Most of the sources on the matter have come from Texas A&M reporters and there has been very little from the Florida State side of things. Now we see an ACC writer who has interviewed people inside the Florida State program and everyone has told her that there’s no expectation of a Fisher return.

While this could also mean he will look for other jobs, Texas A&M has been the most rumored and seems to be the most logical at this point.

Newman also wrote an article describing a potential failed request by Jimbo to build a $60 million facility to help compete with the Alabamas of college football or he’d walk. That request was apparently denied and that could mean his tenure in Tallahassee is over.

Despite everything continuing to be rumors and hearsay, all the signs are pointing to Fisher taking the job in College Station with the Aggies. That’s bad news for the rest of the SEC.
