While the Tennessee Volunteers were rumored to land Oklahoma State Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy, Dana Holgorsen was brought into the news. The head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers is doing a great job in the Big 12 right now.

The best thing that Holgorsen would bring to the Aggies is his ability to build an offense. Holgorsen knows how to attract some of the under the radar quarterback recruits that become some of the most successful in the country.

This might sound like a weird connection to make, but Holgorsen should make Texas A&M freshman quarterback Nick Starkel a star. Holgorsen was once the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State, and extremely successful at that.

Starkel was originally an Oklahoma State commit. If Gundy and the Pokes trusted Starkel enough to follow the career of a great quarterback like Mason Rudolph, there’s something good there. Holgorsen would be a great option for the Aggies if they could pull it off.
