Week 2: Bowl games from Dec. 22 through Dec. 26
UAB and Ohio are already locked into the Bahamas Bowl, where they will get the honor of dueling on the island in Nassau. It will be the first bowl game for UAB since they were reinstated as a program, following their disbanding by the University of Alabama Board of Regents in November 2014. That year, despite reaching bowl eligibility, the Blazers were one of the eligible teams left in the cold thanks to a lack of sufficient invitations.
An Army team that will enter the postseason with either eight or nine wins (depending on what happens in next week’s Army-Navy Game) will likely get a marquee matchup in the Armed Forces Bowl. The Black Knights are projected to square off against Lane Kiffin and the C-USA champion Florida Atlantic Owls.
The first two pairings of Power Five teams are slated to take place in this stretch of the postseason calendar as well. UCLA is projected to face West Virginia at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. Another Big 12/Pac-12 matchup will ensue at the Cactus Bowl in Phoenix, where Khalil Tate and the Arizona Wildcats are projected to face Kansas State.
