With Notre Dame football heading down to Orlando to face the LSU Tigers in the Citrus Bowl, here are three prospects for Irish fans to watch one last time.

The Irish put together a fairly weak 2017 draft class this past season, with only DeShone Kizer and Isaac Rochell hearing their names called. As a consolation, three other Notre Dame alumni signed as undrafted free agents, with defensemen Jarron Jones, James Onwualu, and Cole Luke signing with the New York Giants, Los Angles Chargers, and Carolina Panthers, respectively.

However, the Irish will put forward a much more impressive group this year, with a possibility of three players going in the first found. Such a result would be a far cry from last year, with the only Irish draftee outside of Kizer coming in the seventh round.

After linebacker Jaylon Smith’s injury in Notre Dame’s 2015 loss to Ohio State in the Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl, there was concern that a few Irish players would opt out of this year’s contest. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case this year as captain Drue Tranquill seems to have made a decision to suit up against LSU.

With much on the line for Notre Dame’s program against LSU, here are some players to watch as they fight for their futures in the NFL.
