Oregon, UCF, Arkansas and Tennessee filled their coaching vacancies last week. Here are the winners and losers of the college football coaching carousel.

With all of the controversy surrounding the Tennessee Volunteers coaching search and athletic director position, some other jobs around the country had seen a smaller spotlight than you would expect. Oregon, Arkansas and Central Florida all hired their new head football coach along with Tennessee in Week 16.

With Willie Taggart skipping town from Eugene to Tallahassee, Fla., to become the new head football coach of the Florida State Seminoles, Oregon needed a replacement. The Ducks stayed in-house as they’ve been prone to doing and promoted offensive coordinator and supposed recruiting expert Mario Cristobal.

The Arkansas Razorbacks were rumored to be a landing spot for Gus Malzahn if he so chose to leave Auburn, but once he re-upped with the Tigers, Arkansas moved on to Chad Morris from SMU. The Volunteers hired Greg Schiano and then didn’t, and Phil Fulmer pulled a coup of A.D. John Currie and took over the program only to hire longtime Nick Saban disciple Jeremy Pruitt.
