Gildan New Mexico Bowl

Colorado State vs. Marshall

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Date: Saturday, Dec. 16
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET

Colorado State (7-5) finished as the runner up in the Mountain West mountain division. The Rams picked up two fairly competitive early non-conference losses against Colorado and Alabama. Two of their three conference losses came by a combined six points with the other being a 17-point home loss to Air Force.

Marshall (7-5) hasn’t played a game decided by more than a touchdown since October. The Thundering Herd ended the season 1-3 with three defeats by a combined eight points and the lone victory over Western Kentucky by a touchdown.

The Rams were one of three teams to score more than 20 points against the Alabama Crimson Tide. If Nick Stevens and company can find a way to move the ball on Nick Saban it’s hard to see them being held back by a Marshall defense that ranked near the middle of the pack through the air.

Prediction: Colorado State 28, Marshall 20
