4. Justin Herbert throws four touchdowns

Oregon struggled mightily without Justin Hebert. Since returning to the lineup against Arizona the sophomore passer has been trending in the right direction. Hebert threw for 235 yards and one touchdown against the Wildcats in the Ducks’ penultimate game of the regular season and 251 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season finale against Oregon State.

Herbert has thrown three touchdowns three times this season. In addition to the Oregon State game he achieved that against Nebraska and Arizona State. Just because he hasn’t cracked four scores this season doesn’t mean he doesn’t have it in him. As a freshman last year Herbert threw four touchdown passes against Arizona State and six against Cal.

The Boise State defense is above average against the pass. They allow 210.8 yards per game through the air, 44th best in the country. When Herbert is healthy he can air it out, and he might have to if the Broncos are able to dampen the Ducks running game sans Freeman.

Boise State is allowing just 3.5 yards this season. If the Ducks can’t get the running game going they’ve shown they aren’t afraid to let Herbert air it out. More attempts could make for his best game of the season.
