The Washington Huskies have another talented defense that did not get the credit it deserved. One of those players that fell under the radar this year is UW junior defensive tackle Vita Vea. He’s likely to be the only Huskies defender that falls in the first round.
Furthermore, one Washington team could use a player like Vea from another Washington squad. Vea’s physical tools make him a safe pick to be successful at the next level. The Redskins vitally need help along the defensive line as well.
While Vea did not match his production from 2016, he showed that he’s still capable of being one of the best defensive players in the class. His 8.5 sacks combined over the past two years with the Huskies will translate to a powerful pass rusher as the anchor of an NFL defensive line.
