There’s going to be a ton of turnover in the Arkansas secondary in 2018, and something’s got to give for a secondary that was shredded in 2017. Only one of five starting defensive backs are guaranteed to return in 2018, rising sophomore cornerback Kamren Curl.

The losses of senior cornerback Henre’ Toliver and senior safety Josh Liddell are going to hurt. Senior cornerback Kevin Richardson is a major loss as well. This could put three-star Ashdown High School cornerback Ladarrius Bishop in a prime position to compete for a starting spot in his first year with the Hogs.

At 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds, Bishop has good size to compete with SEC West receivers next year. He’d have to line up against premier receivers like Ole Miss’s A.J. Brown, Auburn’s Ryan Davis, and possibly Alabama’s Calvin Ridley in SEC play.

The decision of redshirt junior safety Santos Ramirez to either stay or declare early for the 2018 NFL Draft will have a big impact on the Arkansas secondary. But, Bishop could have a big role with the Hogs either way.
