5. Bet WAY over, because this Birmingham Bowl could top 100 points

Amazingly, the oddsmakers are setting the scoring line on this game anywhere between 65.5 and 67 points. Even if the two teams reach just their season averages in scoring, they will hit 73 points. But given the stakes that always come with playing in a postseason contest, the Birmingham Bowl could host one of the highest-scoring games of any bowl this year.

With two hot offenses likely to combine for over 1,000 yards of offense, it seems inevitable that the Legion Field scoreboard will be lit up on Saturday. Working in very different ways, the two quarterbacks will rack up serious stats in their final college games.

The Bulls and Red Raiders defenses could also each get a score of their own. Keke Coutee could return a kickoff for a score for Texas Tech, or perhaps Tajee Fullwood will return a punt for a touchdown. Either or both is entirely possible.

There will be scoring every which way down in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon. Look for this barnburner to threaten the 100-point mark as the two teams trade punches and points. Expect South Florida to prevail by a ridiculous scoreline, something in the neighborhood of 56-52.
