Missouri Football: 5 Reasons Tigers beat Texas at Texas Bowl

1. Overall, Missouri’s offense is more productive

Yes, by the numbers the Texas defense has been stronger and better in overall coverage. However, with how many players the Longhorns are missing, that tends to cancel those numbers out. So, as it stands, I am looking at offensive numbers.

The Tigers average over 100 yards more offensively per game than the Longhorns do. They beat the Burnt Orange in both rushing and passing averages per game by at least 50 yards in both categories. Those numbers favor the Tigers strongly and without question.

While past numbers aren’t always indicative of what will happen in the post season, as it stands right now however, this is Missouri’s game to lose. They will need to take advantage of a thin Texas secondary and do what they have been doing since the start of their six game win streak. This game, no matter what Drew Lock says, could help decide his future in terms of the NFL Draft.

No matter what happens, keep an eye on this game, it could be a good one.
