4. Zack Moss is held out of the end zone

Sophomore running back Zack Moss was the next in line for Utah among a line of great rushers. After former running backs Joe Williams and DeVontae Booker made the jump to the NFL, the Utes backfield had some question marks entering the 2017 campaign.

Yet, Moss way more than doubled his rushing yard total from 2016. On 194 attempts, Moss rushed for 1,023 yards and nine touchdowns. His best game came against the Colorado Buffaloes in Utah’s biggest win of the season in the Rumble in the Rockies with nearly 200 yards and two touchdowns.

After that performance, Moss is hot entering the Heart of Dallas Bowl. West Virginia has not been tested much in the Big 12 in terms of strong rushing attacks. The Big 12 is a much better passing conference than it is rushing.

However, expect West Virginia’s rush defense to show up big time, as the Mountaineers are going to prepare to force Huntley into mistakes and turnovers and keep Moss out of the end zone. The gameplan should be simple for the Mountaineers to execute. If West Virginia does it right, Moss is going to have a tough time in this game.
