3. Aeris Williams becomes the focus of the Bulldogs’ offense

If you haven’t caught on yet, the Mississippi State Bulldogs are without starting quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. As a result, running back Aeris Williams will become the most important player on the Bulldog offense. While true freshman quarterback Keytaon Thompson is a huge deal, he will need a leader in Williams to help him navigate the upcoming bowl game.

This kid is strong runner and a great blocker, as seen in the video below, that shows Keytaon Thompson’s first touchdown. His blocking effort on this play is something that should be marveled at, as the Twitter user says. He worked hard on that defender, opening the lane for Thompson to find the end zone.

Williams is going to be likely the leader of this offense for the match up against the Louisville Cardinals. He will be called on as a runner, as a blocker and as a straight up leader. He will need to do everything he is asked to do and that much more.

My bold prediction for him? At least one touchdown and over 150 yards by the end of the afternoon. If the Bulldogs were to pull this one off, I could also see him being dubbed the MVP of the game.
