1. Trace McSorley kicks off his 2018 Heisman campaign in style

Penn State is the favorite entering this game. The backfield combination of McSorley and Barkley have to be a large reason why. McSorley lived in the shadow of Barkley the past two seasons, but that will all change next year.

McSorley’s Heisman campaign and hype train for the 2018 campaign begins in this game, as he is the most important Penn State offensive player. He’s the difference between Barkley and the talented Nittany Lions receiving corps contributing toward a victory, or struggling to produce.

Three touchdown passes would match the career high, of 29, that McSorley established in 2016. McSorley does already have a career high in total touchdowns, with 37. He always has the ability to use his legs to make something happen.

The run-pass option for the Nittany Lions is what makes them so dangerous. There’s too many weapons for most defenses to contain. The stingy UW defense facing the versatile Penn State offense is going to be a great matchup to watch. McSorley will in the thick of the spotlight in that matchup.
