NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round post-bowl season
By Dana Becker
A former highly-prized recruit at Texas, Desmond Harrison was forced to go the long way to becoming an NFL prospect.
Harrison made his way to West Georgia after multiple failed drug tests forced then-head coach Charlie Strong to boot him as a Longhorn.
But Harrison didn’t give up on his dream, showing NFL size, quickness and athleticism to go along with his 6-7, 300-pound frame.
Had he remained at Texas, it would be likely Harrison would go even higher in the draft. He’ll have a chance to improve his stock when he faces NFL coaches and scouts in interviews and one-on-one drills.
If Harrison can show he has matured from this issues at Texas, he might not make it this far in the draft.
