3. Defensive Tackle, Ray Lima (6-foot-3, 306lbs)

Ray Lima is became a force on Iowa States defensive line and will be instrumental in 2018’s defense. The redshirt junior to be was an unsung hero on Iowa State’s defense. At 6-foot-3 and 306 pounds, Lima is a tank and made his presence known in the running game.

Lima started nine games for the Cyclones and finished with 25 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss. The Cyclone defense was a completely different team with Lima on the field. Lima was utilized as a gap clogging run stopping machine and he did just that.

Lime has all the tools to be an All-Big 12 first team selection. He plays with great leverage and demands double teams taking. This will be crucial as it takes a ton of pressure off of Iowa State’s linebackers. Lima has been an unsung hero so far for the Cyclones but that will all change in 2018.
