Battling a border state rival, in head coach Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers, is not an easy task since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012. LSU is a great example of a strong SEC West program, that always has the talent to compete in the top 15, that could be overlooked due to other strong competition.

When you have to face the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, South Carolina, and LSU in the same SEC slate, it can ware on a team. The SEC West is unforgiving if not prepared. But, Texas A&M will be as ready as they’ve been in the past decade for the 2018 campaign.

LSU finished its season with a slim Citrus Bowl loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but still ended with double-digit wins. The last meeting between these two squads ended in a 45-21 victory for the Tigers.

However, star LSU running back Derrius Guice recently announced he intended to declare early for the 2018 NFL Draft, which presents a massive hole to fill in the backfield. This matchup possibly ends up an entertaining one to watch due to the huge addition of Fisher for the Aggies and the loss of Guice for LSU.
