National Signing Day: Where are the last 10 No. 1 overall prospects now?
By Dana Becker
The Class of 2014 featured some amazing talent in future top pick Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers, Leonard Fournette and Adoree’ Jackson.
None of those players, though, were ranked No. 1 following the season.
Instead, Da’Shawn Hand earned that spot, as the defensive end out of Virginia signed with Alabama.
Hand has been a staple in the trenches for the Crimson Tide, but he’s also been overshadowed by others who have come along since his signing.
As a true freshman, Hand saw action in six games for Alabama, making seven tackles and two sacks. He had three sacks the following year in eight games, and has played 10 games each season the past two years.
For his career, Hand made 71 tackles, 14.5 being for loss, with nine total sacks.
