Another team that is clearly on the rise is because of their newly acquired coach Jeff Brohm. Coming over from Western Kentucky, whom the Badgers play first start the 2018 season, Brohm led the Boilermakers to a 6-6 record that included a bowl game win over Arizona.

Next year should be an interesting development for the Boilermakers and Brohm as they face a brutal in-conference schedule. Other than a game at Michigan State, all other marquee matchups against Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin are all at home- including Senior Day against the Badgers.

Wisconsin and Purdue played in a very gritty and ugly game in 2017, with the Badgers prevailing 17-9 thanks to a late interception from linebacker Leon Jacobs. The rain and mud was being flown around Camp Randall Stadium better than the football was, but more importantly for the Badgers it was a wake-up call that the Boilermakers cannot be taken lightly anymore either.

Purdue’s offense should be just fine again next season as Brohm has made it clear he wishes to make a more balanced unit on offense as well as bring forward a tenacious defense. Known to simply be just an air raid style team, the Boilermakers used their defense last year to keep them in games and were just a few big plays away from securing a few more wins.

Wisconsin will have no easy task as they take on Purdue in their final road game of the year in 2018. Anticipate Ross-Ade Stadium to be rocking with a chance to take down the Badgers and spoil their season. Except another close, hard-fought game with a Badgers defensive stop sealing the deal once again.

Final Score: Wisconsin 21, Purdue 13 (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten)
