Iowa will close out the regular season at home against division rival Nebraska. Iowa absolutely throttled the Cornhuskers a year ago in Lincoln by a final score of 56-14.

There isn’t much talent on Nebraska’s roster, but the hiring of Scott Frost is bringing more than it’s fair share of hope and excitement. Frost comes back to the place where he won a national championship as a player and is expecting to do so as a coach as well. However, he has a rebuilding project in front of him, as the Huskers lost quarterback Tanner Lee to the NFL Draft, but they do retain receiver Stanley Morgan, Jr. Frost will have to earn his wins in year one in Lincoln.

Since Nebraska has joined the Big Ten, the series has been essentially even, but streaky. Nebraska won three out of the first four matchups, but Iowa has won the last three in a row, the last two by a combined score of 96-24.

Nebraska will be ready to face their rivals no doubt, looking for revenge after the beat down they have taken the two previous seasons. However, the Hawkeyes could possibly have a spot at Indianapolis on the line and will want to seize the opportunity. This will be a battle till the end, but Iowa will come out victorious.

Final Score: Nebraska 28, Iowa 31

The Hawkeyes are on pace to finish 10-2 in the regular season, a very successful season to many Hawkeye fans. The schedule sets up for Iowa to have a ten win season. But, Kirk Ferentz teams have had a history of losing games they shouldn’t, but they also have a history of winning games they shouldn’t as well. It will be an exciting season in Iowa City nonetheless.
