2. Jalen Green, 4-star CB

Cornerback Holton Hill was suspended for the last three games of the Longhorn season and he possibly could have been suspended into the 2018 season. With that, he decided to declare early for the NFL Draft. The Longhorns could be looking to replace him with one of the most talented cornerbacks in this year’s class, Jalen Green.

Green was highly sought after from many major programs from across the country, receiving nearly 40 offers in total. Eventually the Houston native decided to stay closer to home. He is the sixth ranked cornerback in the nation and fourth ranked overall player in the state of Texas. He participated in the US Army All-American Bowl earlier in January.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder is going to bring a lot of athleticism to the Longhorn secondary. He is the appropriate build for the position and has shown to be a quick learner. Originally Sterns was a quarterback but transitioned to cornerback only a couple years ago. He made a name for himself in Texas high school football as being a shutdown corner and is sure to bring the same kind of intensity and physicality to Austin this fall.
