The Aggies do have a lot of experience returning along the defensive line, but both defensive ends that started in 2017 are gone in 2018. At defensive tackle, Texas A&M brings back rising seniors Kingsley Keke and Daylon Mack, to form a solid set of anchors in the middle of the defensive line.

A candidate, that is a bit younger, to make some noise in the defensive rotation is four-star early signee, defensive end Max Wright. As the highest ranked defensive prospect in Texas A&M’s class at this point, Wright is extremely valuable to the program’s future.

This Katy, TX, product would need to climb the depth chart a bit to make a real impact early in the 2018 campaign. Texas A&M also has another defensive end committed in three-star Tyree Wilson.

If Wright wins out a spot on the depth chart past Wilson, he also has three other upperclassmen to compete with. However, he could have the most raw talent of any pass rusher that will suit up for the Aggies in 2018. That’ll play a huge role in the amount of playing time he sees this season.
