Arkansas has built a reputation of maintaining one of the best offensive lines in both the SEC and the entire nation. However, last season was a let down for what the Hogs are used to. Both Kelley and Austin Allen were sacked numerous times and did not have much of a chance to have any type of production.
The recruiting class does not have much in the way of signees that could bolster the offensive line. There’s a few three-star offensive tackles in the class, but nothing from the guard position. And, there’s also no standout lineman in the class anyway.
While four-star offensive guard prospect Penei Sewell is quite the target for a program like Arkansas, a lot of programs are going after him. The Desert Hills high school offensive lineman has 25 standing offers, and Arkansas is not the favorite to land him.
The Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Utah Utes are the favorites to land the Utah native. But, the Hogs do still have a chance to nab Sewell in a surprise National Signing Day decision.
