A position of need for the Rebels in 2018 is tight end. Their most experienced tight end, Ty Quick, runs out of eligibility following the 2017 campaign. Two other tight ends do return for the Rebels, so incoming freshmen have someone to develop behind.

The Ontario native Michael Ezeike is a four-star prospect that does not have a ton of programs pursuing him. Ezeike is very likely to choose the Ducks, but that does not rule out other options. Ole Miss is one of the more than 10 schools that offered him.

At 6-foot-5, Ezeike brings the size that Power Five programs are looking for to eventually present some real matchup problems for opposing defenses. Ezeike has great hands and good speed for a tight end of his size also.

Landing Ezeike would be a huge win for the Rebels. Luke displayed that Ole Miss can still be a solid offensive team, even with such a young and unproven roster in 2017. That could attract a player like Ezeike to an unlikely destination ultimately.
