4. How will Jimbo Fisher closer?

Jimbo Fisher’s success, or lack thereof, at Texas A&M will be intensely scrutinized. A 10-year, $75 Million contract brings with it exorbitant expectations and that starts on the recruiting trail. The Aggies have 10 signees and will be looking to close Fisher’s first class with a flurry of moves on National Signing Day.

The 2018 Texas A&M recruiting class enters the final stretch as the No. 35 class in the nation. Florida State, the program that Fisher left when he moved to College Station, has climbed to No. 15 under new head coach Willie Taggart. The Aggies and the Seminoles aren’t rivals, per se, but fans of both schools will be playing close attention to how things turnout for their respective squads.

Fisher’s staff has been busy. They’ve secured commitments from a three 2019 commitments over the past week. First they landed 5-star safety Brian Williams. Then 4-star wide receiver Kameron Brown and 4-star cornerback Bobby Wolfe committed to the Aggies over Super Bowl weekend.

If the Aggies are going to rocket up the 2018 rankings they’ll need to land a handful of their priority targets. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, tight end Glenn Beal and defensive end Bobby Brown will all be picking between the Aggies and the Alabama Crimson Tide on National Signing Day. Landing a few of those guy would send a message.
