National Signing Day is right around the corner. Who are the top remaining targets left for USC football and Clay Helton?

The USC Trojans are coming off a Pac-12 championship season and are aiming for even bigger heights in Clay Helton’s third season. Before Helton can focus on spring workouts, he has some work left to do before National Signing Day this week.

The Trojans signed ten players during the early signing period, including one of the top players in the country, linebacker Palaie Gaoteote. They also expect four other commits to sign their letters of intent on NSD on Wednesday. With 14 total commitments and a class ranking of 11th, there are still a few positions left the Trojans hope to bring on board.

Depending on the outcome of signing day, the Trojans could certainly move into the top ten of this year’s class rankings. While the class probably will not rank as high as last year’s class, which ranked fourth per 247 Sports, it still should be a great class. In fact the Trojans have dominated recruiting in the Pac-12, owning the top spot in the conference every year since 2014. It does not look like the Trojans will be relinquishing the accomplishment any time soon.

USC is one of the teams to watch on National Signing Day. There are some pretty big names left on the board across the nation and USC has themselves in the mix for several of them. Let us take a look at the top five targets left the Trojans are trying to sign on the big day.
