The Trojans have looked to beefing up their offensive line with this year’s class. They already have an offensive tackle and center signed and now turn their attention to landing guard Penei Sewell.

Sewell is from Desert Hills High School in Saint George, Utah. He is ranked overall as the 57th-best player in the country, the second-best guard in the country and the best overall player in the state of Utah, per 247Sports.

Sewell is a very big guy, listed at 6-foot-5 and just a pound under 350. The four-star prospect does not project to be a starter right away. He would be expected to lose some weight and take a least a year to learn the system before seeing the field. Perhaps Sewell would be better suited to take a redshirt year, no matter the program he ultimately chooses.

There are plenty of choices for Sewell to mull over for his final decision as he has 25 offers. The main contenders for his services besides USC are Oregon, Alabama and Utah. He seems to be leaning Oregon, but the Trojans definitely have a good shot at landing the Utah native.
