The second cornerback the Trojans are hoping to sign is ranked slightly higher than Issac Taylor-Stuart. Olaijah Griffin is a five-star prospect out of Mission Viejo, Calif., and would add tremendously to a growing Trojan secondary. He is the highest-ranked player left the Trojans are pursuing.

Besides football, a fun fact about Griffin is he is the son of rapper Warren G. Griffin and was originally committed to USC’s rival UCLA, but in December he decommitted from the Bruins and reopened his recruitment. Now it appears the Bruins are not even on the radar. Besides the Trojans, Tennessee, Oregon and Alabama are also in the hunt for Griffin.

Griffin has great size and speed at 6-foot-0 and 170 pounds and he potentially could earn playing time as a freshman for the Trojans. He is the 28th-best player in the country and ranked the third-best cornerback overall.

Landing one of the highly-touted corners would be good for the Trojans, but if they were to land both Griffin and Taylor-Stuart, it would be all the better. Both of these talented players would make formidable teammates in their coming years at USC.
