Looking to add to their inside linebacker depth, the Trojans are hoping to land Solomon Tuliaupupu on signing day. The Trojans were the last official visit for the prospect back on Jan. 26 so perhaps he saved the best for last. It certainly helps for making a lasting impression.

Tuliaupupu is a four star prospect from Santa Ana, Calif. He is from the same high school, Mater Dei, as Trojan verbal commits quarterback JT Daniels and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Before helping his team win the Southern Section Division 1 high school championship this past season, Tuliaupupu was named the Butkus Award winner, awarded to the nation’s best high school linebacker.

Tuliaupupu owns 31 offers in total, but has narrowed his recruitment down to four schools. In addition to USC, Tuliaupupu has Notre Dame, UCLA and Oklahoma on his short list. The Trojans are the heavy favorite to land him and it would be considered a surprise at this point if he signed somewhere else.

Tuliaupupu is the No. 86 overall player in the nation and ranked the third-best inside linebacker in this year’s class.
