Ohio State Football: 5 reasons the Buckeyes will win Big Ten in 2018
1. Schedule
Big Ten rivals went against Ohio State mid-season, and the Buckeyes did take their first 2017 loss during their second game of the season vs. Oklahoma.
Most of Ohio State’s biggest games were mid-season, a time when the Buckeyes are usually at their best. Ohio State only had five home games in 2017, but it still managed to take the conference title.
For the upcoming season, it appears that the Buckeyes have a challenging schedule but it’s nothing they can’t handle, and the harder games are spread out throughout the season. In Week 3, from the Big 12, Ohio State will play TCU. This game comes after two home games; the season opener against Oregon State and Rutgers.
The most challenging game will fall on Nov. 10. The Buckeyes will face Michigan State on the road as the Spartans are looking for revenge for the 2017 matchup. Then, Ohio State comes up against Michigan for another home game and the final season matchup on Nov. 24 — the annual showdown.
