As said earlier, Penn State is very good at recruiting depth along the defensive front. The second defensive end to appear on this list, Zach Harrison, will be a big recruiting challenge for James Franklin and his staff.

The six-foot-six, 240 pound Harrison is from Lewis Center, Ohio which is only about 20 miles north of Columbus. Harrison is currently the top player in the state, the second best defensive end in the country and the fourth ranked overall player in the nation. To say the least, Harrison is going to be a good one when he hits college and possibly beyond.

Being that close to Ohio State, you better believe the Buckeyes are high on Harrison’s list, if not the top school. Ohio State is the only school on all of the 247 Crystal Ball predictions right now. However Harrison has genuine interest in the Nittany Lions. Franklin and Urban Meyer have engaged in several recruiting battles the past couple years and this one looks to be another heated one. If Penn State were to land Harrison, it would be a big boon for Franklin. Not only would the Lions be gaining a huge talent but also stealing one away from Ohio State.
