The unquestioned  top player in the Tigers’ 2018 class is Terrace Marshall. The wide receiver out of Bossier City, LA was the No. 1 player in the state. He signed with LSU during the Early Signing Period after the Tigers fought off a late push from Texas A&M.

Marshall headlines a quartet of talent wide receivers, a position which was a focal point of this year’s class. The Tigers have to replace DJ Chark and Russell Gage, a pair of senior pass catchers from last year’s squad. JaMaar Chase, the No. 4 player in the state of Louisiana, was one of the Tigers’ biggest National Signing Day gets. He picked LSU over TCU and Florida.

The Tigers rounded out their offensive class with a nice collection of big men in the trenches. They went all the way to ASA College in New York to sign Badara Traore, the No. 6 JUCO prospect in the nation. Weighing in at 310 pounds and standing 6-foot-7, he’ll likely slide right into a starting role in 2018.

Running back is wide open in 2018. Unlike the year beforehand, there is no Derrius Guice waiting in the wings. Chris Curry has just a good a chance as senior Nick Brossette or sophomore Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

LSU got two immediate starters and some good depth pieces that will be contributors down the line. It wasn’t a great haul, but it wasn’t terrible either.
