February 7 was National Signing Day for the 2018 class in college football. Check out the five topics that stood out the most this week.

The 2018 National Signing Day wasn’t quite the overwhelming barrage that it normally is thanks to the early signing period in December. However, a lot of interesting moments happened around the college football world that either solidified a coach’s position or left them out in the grand scheme of recruiting.

One of the ultimate recruiting sales pitches is the development from a high school kid into an NFL Draft pick and the Crimson Tide led the way in that department as far as NFL Combine invites go in 2018. The correlation to recruiting success, to on field success, and then NFL Draft-ability has never been more evident than in Tuscaloosa, AL.

During an already hectic week, there’s also been a lot of realignment talk and here I’ll take a look at who the Big 12 should go after between the South Florida Bulls and Central Florida Knights. We’ll also look at more scandal in the wake of Bob Davie’s 30 day suspension, and where the top five unsigned prospects landed on the first Wednesday in February.

Enjoy your 2018 National Signing Day 5th Quarter.
