Offense: B

Given Mario Cristobal’s background as an offensive line coach, it makes sense that the Ducks put a lot of attention into building up their presence in the trenches. Penei Sewell, the No. 2 offensive guard in the country, was coveted by several dozen schools. Oregon beat out the efforts of Alabama, USC, and the rest to sign Sewell. He is joined by another top-10 guard, Steven Jones.

They also landed No. 14 offensive tackle Dawson Jaramillo and two other top-75 prospects to round out their haul on the offensive line. With Tyrell Crosby on his way to the NFL and veterans nearing the end of their eligibility over the next two years, this class was designed to fill a lot of the holes and provide immediate depth.

Tyler Shough, the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the country, will bring a different element to the passer position in Eugene. Does this indicate an intention to shift focus on offense toward a different system?

At receiver, the Ducks signed top-35 prospects Isaah Crocker and Jalen Hall. Taggart tried to flip Hall late in the game after he shifted schools, but the 6-foot-4 prospect remained committed to the Ducks. Oregon also brought the nation’s No. 11 tight end prospect Spencer Webb to Eugene.

In total, it was a solid B performance by the Ducks through National Signing Day. Oregon filled out their offense and set themselves up for both next season and the long term.
