Projection for Bentley

One area that Bentley needs to improve in 2018 is his tendency to turn the ball over. While his touchdown pass total increased significantly in 2017, his interceptions did also. Bentley doubled his number of touchdown passes from his freshman season (nine compared to 18), but tripled the amount of picks thrown.

His 24 total touchdowns mark an impressive total for playing in the SEC. Moreover, if Bentley has Samuel healthy for a full season, his supporting cast will help his overall stat line improve.

There’s four games on tap that Bentley really needs to stand out in for the upcoming regular season. Three road games against the Kentucky Wildcats, Florida Gators, and Clemson Tigers and one home matchup against Georgia are all key matchups for the Gamecocks this year.

Taking care of business against some of the better projected programs in the SEC East, like the Gators and Dawgs, is significantly important to South Carolina’s success. Bentley has the ability to take South Carolina to its first 10-win season under Muschamp.
