As the other four-star commit in West Virginia’s 2018 class, strong-side defensive end Dante Stills is a huge piece of the group of incoming recruits. Stills is also, by far, the most highly-touted commit in this class.

He’s the 124th-ranked player in the nation, seventh best at his position, and best prospect out of West Virginia. Any time the Mountaineers can keep top talent in-state, and not have them pried away by the Big Ten or ACC, that’s a great sign.

Moreover, with the pass rush having so much trouble for West Virginia in 2017, locking up this type of talented defensive end is huge. Stills will fit right in the rotation with defensive ends like Reese Donahue and Adam Shuler.

If there’s any player that the Mountaineers signed that will have a huge impact in Big 12 play in 2018, it’s Stills. While the early playing time might not be there in bunches while he learns the defense and develops under the current starters on the defensive line, he’ll definitely get his shot.
