Raines and three-star corner Joshua Norwood are the two most potent options for Holgorsen in the secondary in 2018, out of this incoming group of recruits. Norwood is a talented JUCO transfer, that saw a ton of success at Northwest Mississippi C.C.

Furthermore, there were few JUCO cornerbacks that are ready to get going quicker than Norwood. He’s the fourth best at his position in the nation, among all JUCO prospects. And, he’s the 35th overall JUCO recruit in the nation, which is the best that West Virginia landed in that category.

Few programs pursued Norwood as heavily as they should have. This might end up being the most underrated signee in the Mountaineers 2018 class. It was really only West Virginia that gave Norwood a look, and some other Power Five programs could see why that was a mistake very soon.
