Iowa State kicks off the rest of the Big 12 slate with a trip to Fort Worth to visit Gary Patterson’s Horned Frogs. Iowa State scored a historic victory against TCU a year ago with a 14-7 upset in Ames as Cyclone fans stormed Jack Trice in celebration.

TCU is coming off another productive season, finishing 11-3 and an appearance in the Big 12 Championship game. A lot of TCU’s success can be attributed to the switch in philosophy that coach Gary Patterson has made, from a defense-first approach, to an offensive assault when the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12. TCU will have a tough time replacing quarterback Kenny Hill and running back Kyle Hicks, but the Horned Frogs always seem to reload rather than rebuild.

This game will be another spirited battle with revenge on the minds of TCU players from last year’s game. However, the Cyclones make it two in a row against the Horned Frogs and Matt Campbell picks up another signature win in the Big 12.

Final Score: TCU 28, Iowa State 35 (3-2)
