Iowa State rides the momentum of a blowout over Texas Tech into Lawrence to take on the worst Power 5 program in college football in the Kansas Jayhawks. The Cyclones shutout the lowly Jayhawks a year ago in Jack Trice by a final of 45-0.

The Jayhawks have not shown much improvement in David Beaty’s three years as he has compiled a 3-33 record as head coach in Lawrence. The Jayhawks also suffered a blow losing arguably their best player in defensive lineman Dorance Armstrong Jr. to the NFL Draft. The season ahead looks rough for the Jayhawks as well as the near future.

Iowa State has dominated the series as of late, beating the Jayhawks in four out of the last five matchups between the two. This meeting will be no exception to the recent trend as the Cyclones will demolish Kansas at home and reach bowl eligibility with an exclamation point.

Final Score: Kansas 3, Iowa State 49 (6-3)
