3. Amari Rodgers – Wide Receiver

Against the defense, wide receiver Amari Rodgers is looking pretty promising for Clemson football. The upcoming sophomore for the Clemson Tigers is also from Tennessee and made a good impression on the coaching staff during the 2017 fall camp.

Like his father Tee Martin, Rodgers followed in his father’s footsteps to play college football. Fans were sure that Rodgers would end up with the USC Trojans – his father is the current USC offensive coordinator and a former Tennessee Volunteer quarterback. Instead, Rodgers joined the Tigers.

With Ray-Ray McCloud leading on the field in 2017, Rodgers unfortunately had little opportunity. Rodgers only had 19 catches for 123 yards for the season but he has proven to be a valuable option for the Tigers.

Rodgers makes catches and is electric when he gets on the field. So, keep watch for him in 2018. Although his position as a starter is not certain, fans remain optimistic for the upcoming season.
