There’s a few wide receivers to watch to breakout with the loss of Ratley and Kirk this year. Two key receivers that need to step into the spotlight are two rising sophomores. The youth in the receiving corps could be an issue, but there’s also a ton of talent.

The two rising sophomores that are important to pay attention to are Jhamon Ausbon and Camron Buckley. Ausbon brings back the most production from 2017. He finished the 2017 campaign with 47 receptions for 556 yards and three touchdowns.

Buckley racked up roughly half the receiving yards that Ausbon managed. But, Buckley did have the same number of receiving touchdowns. Both will be counted on to provide steady targets to Starkel to throw to.

At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Ausbon has more size and strength than most receivers in college football these days. His ability to come up with the ball in tough fights against opposing coverage separates him as a potential star receiver in the SEC.
