Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. Texas. Connor Williams. 5. player. 45

The Denver Broncos essentially need to rebuild the entire offense. That leaves two key positions as the highlights for their off-season project. Denver needs to find a solid quarterback and build the offensive line in front of them.

The most pressing need for the Broncos is at left tackle. While picking an injury prone offensive tackle like Connor Williams of the Texas Longhorns might seem risky, he is the most talented in the draft. Williams would easily be a top five pick without the injury concerns.

Really the two best options left along the offensive line after Nelson is off the board are Williams and Nelson’s fellow Notre Dame product Mike McGlinchey. But, the Broncos should go with the option here with the more raw talent.

This is a key pick to the Broncos fortunes in the future. Since winning the Super Bowl a few years ago, it’s been a pretty far fall. The defense is also better off than the offense, which is where they need the most help.
