44. Round 2, No. 58 overall. C. Arkansas. Frank Ragnow. 2. player

The sure-fire selection from this year’s group of Razorbacks is center Frank Ragnow. The versatile offensive lineman saw time at center and guard during his collegiate career, serving as the undisputed anchor of the Razorbacks’ offensive line. His physicality and toughness earned him multiple All-SEC selections.

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 309 pounds, Ragnow is as NFL-ready as they come. His high floor makes him a perfect fit for a team that is on the cusp of making another deep playoff run, the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta needs to start looking for a long-term answer at center. Their current starter, Alex Mack is a nine-year NFL vet who came over from the Cleveland Browns following the 2015 season. He’s started every game for the Falcons since then, however, the cap hit from his contract continues to climb.

Mack is entering the third year of a 5-year, $45 million contract. The Falcons could save as much as $21.5 million in cap space over the final two years of his contract if they decided to go in a younger direction in the middle of the line.
