When it comes to assessing offensive lineman, strength is a crucial component. Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson entered the combine as the highest rated guard prospect. He left the bench press as the unquestioned top choice at the position. Nelson busted out 35 reps on the bench press, the second most of any offensive lineman who participated and tied for the fourth most by any offensive lineman in the past four years.

Pittsburgh offensive tackle Brian O’Neill posted the fastest 40-yard dash time of any offensive lineman. After an uninspiring Senior Bowl performance O’Neill needed a good day at the combine; he had a fantastic one. His 4.82 second time was the second fastest time by an offensive lineman in the last four years. Not bad for a big guy.

Penn State standout Saquon Barkley vied for the Heisman trophy in 2017. He followed up those impressive on-field antics with a combine performance that was nothing short of spectacular. Barkley crushed every event. He ran a speedy 4.40 40-yard dash, the second fastest time among running backs. Barkley’s 41-inch vertical jump was the third best mark from any skill position player in the past three seasons.
