4. Players that proved people wrong

Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has proven me wrong. Allen measured in at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds. That’s an NFL body type and anyone that’s seen him sling the football knows he has Kyle Boller-type arm strength. Allen then out-athleted most of the running backs in the 2018 NFL Draft class and easily many quarterbacks with a 119 inch broad jump and 33.5 inch vertical jump.

Allen posted a 4.75 40-yard dash and 4.40 20-yard shuttle as well. Add those measurables with his throwing work and he’s proven he can compete at the NFL level. Josh Allen looked accurate and flashed quick response time place footballs perfectly all over the field.

Alabama running back Bo Scarborough also proved me wrong with his NFL Combine numbers. ‘Bama backs have been cursed by being plodding and not having enough burst for the speed-based game of the professional ranks.

Scarborough measured up to 6-foot-1, 228 pounds while running a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash. He also looked explosive with his 40-inch vertical jump and 129-inch broad jump. A 4.34 20-yard shuttle and 14 reps on the bench were just checking the box, proving he’s a capable athlete and not lacking the burst for the pro game.
