1. When’s my pro day? These players needed another chance

Some players at the NFL Combine don’t handle the pressure or drills well and need to rely on their pro day, and others are coming back from injuries and aren’t ready to compete at the combine.

Then again, some players should’ve heeded that warning and sat out. Miami running back Mark Walton is one of those guys. Coming off an ankle injury, Walton looked pedestrian in Indy. He measured 5-foot-10 and 202 pounds. Walton ran a 4.6 40-yard dash which puts him behind defensive linemen like Jeff Sweat from FSU and bigger backs like Barkley and Freeman.

He only put up a 118 inch broad jump and 31.5 inch vertical jump which put him at 16th and 23rd among backs respectively. Walton could’ve used another year of seasoning and preparation for the NFL.

Josh Rosen, the quarterback from UCLA, measured well at the combine but struggled to find his targets in the passing drills. Rosen will need his pro day to prove he’s more than good measurables. He has NFL size at 6-foot-4 and 226 pounds. He’s proven his toughness by living through a terrible offensive line and scheme at UCLA.

Rosen ran a 4.92 in the 40-yard dash and 4.28 in the 20-yard shuttle. He jumped 31 inches in the vertical and 111 inches in the broad jump making him athletic enough to not draw red flags. The super bright Southern California tennis player just needs to have a better pro day throwing the football to stay in the top 10 with the deep amount of quarterback talent in this year’s draft.

Oklahoma offensive tackle Orlando Brown came into the combine as the fifth overall player and top rated offensive tackle by CBS Sports. Brown showed up at 6-foot-8 and 345 pounds- which is size that just can’t be taught. However, the highly touted former Sooner had some of the worst combine scores of all-time.

Brown ran a 5.85 in the 40-yard dash which really isn’t indicative of much physically for offensive linemen. However, he then put up only 14 reps at 225 on the bench press. His vertical jump and broad jump were a horrible 19.5 inches and 82 inches, respectively.

He then turned out a 5.38 in the 20-yard shuttle. Brown will need a huge pro day for a team other than a clueless franchise like the Miami Dolphins to take a reach on him after showing up so underprepared for the biggest job interview of his career.
