Ole Miss Football 2018 Mock Draft: Where will the Rebels go?
Taylor could fall to the undrafted ranks, but outside of him there aren’t many other Rebels that have legitimate NFL aspirations. Defensive back Kendarius Webster was in the mix early in the 2017 season, but injuries combined with his small stature make the chances of any team spending a draft pick on him small, at best.
Kicker Gary Wunderlich stands the best chance to make an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent. Primarily a kicker at Ole Miss, Wunderlich also collected 36 punts over four seasons with the Rebels. That versatility supplements a strong leg with NFL-level accuracy. Wunderlich had a 83.1 percent career success rate on his field goals. Few specialists get drafted, but Wunderlich will get a training camp invite at the very least.
Those look to be the primary contenders for draft selections. Four NFL draftees is a good showing for the Rebels, considering the turmoil that Ole Miss has gone through over the last two season in particular.

Hugh Freeze did an exception job on the recruiting front. Matt Luke faces the challenge of matching that level of success with more scrutiny and additional hurdles. It’s going to be hard for Ole Miss to continue to churn out this many NFL-caliber players, but almost every SEC program finds a way to produce at least a few draft picks every year and Ole Miss is no exception.
