Quarterback. player. Scouting Report. 21. 16. Pick Analysis. Louisville. Lamar Jackson

Needs: QB, OL, DT

Lamar Jackson, and in this case the Bills, will be under heavy scrutiny from the people who think Jackson is a wide receiver. The quarterback threw for 9,043 yards in three seasons tacking on 69 touchdowns against ACC competition. Jackson averaged 8.3 yards per passing attempt which is better than Josh Rosen and Josh Allen. He also ran for 4,132 and 50 touchdowns in his career at Louisville.

Jackson is a quarterback and he will remain a quarterback, ofr the time being. The Bills will need a mobile quarterback unless they can miraculously learn to protect Jackson.

Buffalo is going all on on Jackson. With Tyrod Taylor now a Cleveland Brown, the only other viable option on the roster is former Pitt quarterback Nathan Peterman. The Bills already have LeSean McCoy and need to get their franchise quarterback situation in order. The last time the Bills had a long-term answer at quarterback was with Hall of Famer Jim Kelly in the 1990’s.
